A nice collection of modified vehicles gathered on the run strip of Joensuu Airfield recently and held the Speedparty 'one mile challenge' of 2009! This event takes place at Joensuu Airport (JOE/EFJO) of Joensuu, Finland at 396 + sea level. The fastest vehicle of Speedparty is the Toyota Supra MKIII at Joensuu running 317 km/h! That is really fast for the size of the airfield. Followed by the Supra is a Porsche 996 GT700 with a registered speed of 308 km/h. Porsche is known for speed, especially out of the hole. Usually this event takes place in airport of Joensuu.The original idea was simple: to measure top speed after 1,800 m (1.1 mi) acceleration on Joensuu airport.
