In her last interview 2½ weeks before her death and posted on the Fox News Network; Brittany Murphy confessed that she was “a bit thinner now than what I would like to be." She also “dismissed reports that her weight was connected to drug use or an eating disorder”.
US Weekly printed a photo of Murphy's last known public appearance in Los Angeles on December 3, which showed the actress in a sleeveless dress revealing her thin arms and legs.
Speculation on the associated factors causing the death of Brittany Murphy include complication from a variety of conditions, including; diabetes, hyperthyroidism, drugs, and eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia. Each of these conditions can be associated with weight loss and the outcome of each can be negatively impacted by rapid or prolonged excessive weight loss, including heart failure.
Assistant Coroner Ed Winter said initial autopsy reports showed the cause of death may have resulted from “heart-related causes”. The autopsy - completed on 22 December - included toxicology tests that will not be available for six to eight weeks.

Maybe she took Fenfluramine+Phentermine weightloss drugs back in the 90s , before the combo got banned for causing heart valve damage? Just a theory , don't think we'll ever know what really happened. It's sad that she died so young. An exceptional talent "lost like tears in rain".
