Special screenings and toys celebrate opening of How To Train Your Dragon

Beginning tomorrow, you can expect fire-breathing dragons to become the hottest selling toys of the season. With the debut of DreamWorks Animation's highly-anticipated film, How To Train Your Dragon, parents are sure to be bombarded with requests for toys and action figures related to the animated feature.

Wal-Mart is the exclusive retailer for How To Train Your Dragon toys, including items available exclusively online, which range in price from $5 to $30. The toys, made by Spin Master, include Viking and Dragon character packs, play sets, Hiccup's Dragon Battling Sword, dragon eggs and active vocano play sets.

Meanwhile, Activision is celebrating the release of its How to Train Your Dragon video game by giving away a copy of the game along with a Nintendo DS or Wii game system everyday from now through April 7th.  Enter to win at their web site; winners will be chosen at random.

For opening day tomorrow (3/26), parents and kids can attend a special 10am Mommy & Me breakfast screening at Mall of America (click on the breakfast screening icon). At 9am, families will receive free breakfast (cereal, milk and orange juice) and two attendees will receive a How To Train Your Dragon prize pack.

Families affected by autism and other disabillities also have a special screening opportunity at 10am on April 10th. AMC Rosedale 14 will host the morning screening for just $5 per person, providing families a comfortable, sensory-friendly environment including lights on in the theater, no advertisements or previews before the film, and the ability for parents to bring gluten-free, casein-free snacks.
