Last April a film entitled LUV premiered at the Dallas International Film Festival. The powerful film centers on an 11 year old boy whose world is turned upside down when he spends the day with the ex-convict uncle he views as his hero. The director of the film spoke about it and its background story at the festival, but now the Dallas Film Society is screening the film again before its official release with even more of the cast and crew in attendance.
Tomorrow, January 15th, the Dallas Film Society will screen LUV at 7:30 pm at AMC Northpark 15. There will be a red carpet event prior to the showing, as well as a Q&A after with stars Michael Rainey Jr. and Common. The director and producers will also be at the film.
Tickets to this event can be purchased at http://luvscreening.com. LUV opens in select theatres Friday, December 18th.
