Special needs perspective

This column has been empty for two weeks because I am burned out on writing about Special Needs issues.  I find that all I read lately are negative reports and research, "treatments" which may be little more than a way to search for a bogeyman to blame for a child's diagnosis, and more grim news.

From now on, I want to find ways to focus on the positives in our children's lives.  You'll see a change to my writing, with fewer news reports and more emphasis on fun and strengths.
