Special needs parent training academy opens it's virtual doors

The Able Parent Academy is being formed to provide classes to strengthen parents raising children with special needs.  As part of the non-profit, Bella’s House Community News, this educational division will serve to enhance parent’s knowledge in a variety of areas including emergency planning, parenting and relationship issues, and how to have a more successful relationship with the school.

So that parents can have better access to these classes, they will be delivered in three formats; downloadable video, online live, and audio.  This will allow parents to take the courses when they can, and not be confined to a pre-determined schedule.

The formation of the Academy comes from a desire for parents to have access to topics important to their daily life that they may not be able to find elsewhere. Some of the courses are purely informational like the “Medicaid waiver programs 101”, whereas others take a parent coaching perspective like “Developing an emergency plan”.   If you are interested in taking any of these courses, or having one delivered at your location, contact: kim@ableparent.com  or visit their website.
