As the Easter season approaches, many area churches, parks and orchards are featuring egg hunts and visits with the Easter Bunny and other special activities. Since most of these activities are out of doors, there is usually the opportunity to step aside and take a break or find a quiet corner if an autistic child attending an egg hunt becomes overwhelmed. However, autistic kids may benefit from a slightly less hectic atmosphere and West Whiteland is offering the opportunity for children with special needs to attend an egg hunt an hour before the general population hunt at Albert C. Miller Memorial Park in Exton.
The even is scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 220 Miller Way in Exton. Special needs children of all ages are invited to hunt eggs in the circle in front of the Gazebo at 9:30am. The general population hunt will start at 10:30am and will be divided by age group. Bring your own basket!
