Special magazine pays tribute to Beatles' 50th anniversary

A new magazine you'll find just out on newsstands is "The Beatles 50th Anniversary Tribute." The publication, the latest in Bauer Publishing's Life Story series, outlines the Beatles' music career in its 100 pages.

Beginning with the group's formation in Liverpool, foundation gigs in Hamburg and signing their initial record contract, the magazine is loaded with lots of pictures and an album-by-album with track-by-track review of their record history.

It also includes a profile of each of the films and a modern-day look at how the group has stayed current in the marketplace through such things as "The Beatles Rock Band," "LOVE" and iTunes. It's up-to-date enough to even includes mentions of the latest Paul McCartney album, "Kisses on the Bottom," and "Ringo 2012."

According to the company, the Life Story series is geared toward teens and tweens, so don't expect anything of reference book quality. And we think they'll appreciate it.

The cover price, by the way, is $9.95.
