As Army Special Forces Ranger and professional MMA fighter Tim Kennedy knows more than anyone else in the mixed martial arts sphere about the almost decade-long man hunt of Osama Bin Laden, who was believed to be the master mind of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Even after signing with Strikeforce in 2009, Kennedy continued to serve in the U.S. Army full time which included several tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In light of the recent news of Bin Laden's death, Kennedy shared his insights in an interview with ESPN1100 in Las Vegas (watch video).
In spite of this much celebrated "victory" for not only for the U.S. Armed Forces, but America as a whole, Kennedy points out that the war on terrorism is far from over and that he will continue to do his part as full-time soldier. Nevertheless, he maintains his focus on his MMA career as well, and has his eyes on a possible match up with Robbie Lawler at a Strikeforce event in June.
With a current professional record of 13-3 and a recent submission-win against Melvin Manhoef at Strikeforce - Feijao vs. Henderson last March, Kennedy's success momentum is building again after his decision loss against Ronaldo Souza at Strikeforce: Houston last August.
