Looking for some after-school enrichment classes for your special needs child? Classes and social groups outside of school let special needs kids relax since academics may be challenging for them, and many classes focus more on fun - although learning is always involved.
The Help Group's Kids Like Me programs are offered at both the Sherman Oaks and Culver City locations. Classes are geared for different age groups and include topics like dinosaurs, film making, gaming, cooking, art and theater. Contact The Help Group at 818-778-7136 for more information. They are also working with Aceing Autism for a tennis program.
Adapted Sports classes are offered through the City of Los Angeles at Barry A. Sanders Sports Field in Encino on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Football, hockey, softball, soccer, kickball and other fun sports will be offered on a field with special surfacing that offers additional traction. For more info and fees, contact Irving Moreno at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 818-756-8060.
