The Team of Advocates for Special Kids (TASK) will host an informational presentation on "Transition to Adult Services" on Thursday, October 17, 2013. Parents will learn about the development of an "Individual Transition Plan" (ITP) and the transition process for individuals with special needs to move from school to adult services. Information will also be shared about other system criteria and the public agency application process for young adults with special needs (i.e. Social Security Administration, Department of Rehabilitation and Regional Centre, etc.). Supports for the individual to live independently and productively within the community and other related information will be discussed as well. (Workshops are for adults only)

No admission to persons arriving later than 15 minutes after the workshop start time.
