Special days and discounts to save money at The Florida Strawberry Festival

The 2013 Florida Strawberry Festival opens in eight days in Plant City, Florida. Special days and discounts give patrons a great opportunity at the 2013 Florida Strawberry Festival. From Florida Blue Senior Citizens' Days to Ride-A-Thons, there are budget relieving ways for everyone to enjoy this year's Festival. A few was to save are:

• Advanced discount tickets are on sale for $2 off the regular adult price of $10 and $1 off the youth (ages 6-12) price at participating Sweetbay Supermarkets. Children five and under are admitted free with a paid adult.
• Advance discount gate admission tickets can be purchased through the Festival ticket office, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, at the Amscot Main Ticket Gate. However, once the Festival opens on February 28th, advance discount gate admission tickets will only be sold at Sweetbay Supermarkets.
• Senior Citizens Day: Patrons 60 years of age or older get $2.00 off the regular gate admission of $10.00 on February 28 and March 7, 2013. The Jimmy Sturr Orchestra will perform for your listening and dancing pleasure. The music runs 10:30 am until 12:00 pm on the Wish Farms Stage. Seats are free with general admission.
• Sweetbay Supermarkets Day on the Midway: Sweetbay Supermarket Day on the Midway saves you $4.00 off the regular price of $20.00 for the Fun Pack Ride Coupon Book from Noon until 10 pm. Bring any “My Essentials” non-perishable product to the Festival and receive a midway voucher as you enter the Festival for $4.00. Each “My Essentials” non-perishable product brought in will be exchanged for a $4.00 off voucher. “My Essentials” non-perishable products are available in all Sweetbay Supermarkets. All “My Essentials” non-perishable products will be donated to the local food bank.
• Kids Day: Kids through High School age are admitted FREE! Just stop by any Festival ticket booth and receive a complimentary voucher on this special day. But that’s not all. There’s a FREE kids concert on the Wish Farms Stage. Caroline Kole will take the stage at 1 pm.
• American Heroes Day: The Florida Strawberry Festival will honor our American Heroes by offering FREE admission. All active, reserve and retired military and military veterans along with Law Enforcement and First Responders (EMS & Fire Fighters) will be admitted free all day when they show a valid ID.
