According to a May 11 report by Fox Carolina News, an upstate man is in jail following a food fight.

A Spartanburg man has been charged with criminal domestic violence after a series of assaults while arguing over the victim refusing to pay for his take-out food.

Joshua Wallace was paid a visit by Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office deputies after police were called to his Kelsey Creek Road address on Saturday.

An unidentified woman was choked and slammed to the floor after telling Wallace she was going out for food, and wouldn't be getting him any.

There was a witness to the fight, who broke up the fight between the couple. Wallace left the home, and his victim lay on the floor unconscious.

911 was called, and deputies reported evidence of a struggle in the kitchen. A broken necklace, a ripped shirt and blood on the wall collaborated a fight had taken place.

Wallace is being held on a $7,500 bond at Spartanburg County Detention Center. No word on the condition of the victim in the assault.
