Spanish superstar, singer, producer and one of the most influential Latin singer/songwriters of the last two decades, Alejandro Sanz, will receive the 'LA MUSA 2014 ICON AWARD' (PREMIO ICONO) at the LA MUSA AWARDS on October 18 at the annual induction gala of the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Sanz has collaborated with global artists as Alicia Keys, Emeli Sandé, Shakira, Laura Pausini, and Tony Bennett, among others. Alejandro Sanz is a 17 times Latin Grammy winner and three Grammy awards, and has sold over 24 million albums worldwide.

Renowned music executive Zach Horowitz will also be honored with the "LA MUSA 2014 RALPH S. PEER PUBLISHERS (PREMIO EDITORES RALPH S. PEER).

This year, Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame (LSHOF) will induct into its Hall of Fame (El Pabellón De La Fama De Los Compositores Latinos) four of Latin music's most influential internationally acclaimed performing songwriters, lyricists and composers in Latin music:

Gloria Estefan (Cuba) * Omar Alfanno (Panama)

Lolita De La Colina (México) * Rafael Pérez Botija (Spain)

The October gala will recognize these legendary music creators and their unforgettable songs written in Spanish and Portuguese as well as feature moving tributes and musical performances by some of the industry's most important talents. Additional special honorees and presenters will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
