On Sunday, February 21st, Restaurant Casa Galicia will be hosting a dinner fundraiser for Haiti, with all proceeds to be donated to the Red Cross; the staff has also agreed to donate all tips collected that night. On the menu will be a choice of appetizer, main dish and dessert—to see the menu click here. The price for this event and set menu is $40.00 dollars per person, which includes a pitcher of sangria per couple. There will also be entertainment provided in the form of a flamenco show, which begins at 7:00PM.

Casa Galicia specializes in Spanish food and tapas style cuisine: paella, grilled seafood and fish and what many refer to as one of the best sangrias in Montreal. A true “mom and pop” style restaurant, Casa Galicia is run by Laurentino Oliveira and Maria dos Anjos da Silva Oliveira, who hail from Southern Spain and pride themselves on serving traditional Spanish cuisine. Based on the many good reviews Casa Galicia has garnered on Restomontreal.ca, it’s safe to say that a good time will be had by all for a very worthwhile cause.

Casa Galicia is located on St Denis Street in Montreal’s Latin Quarter. (Just north of Sherebrooke). Reservations are recommended.
