It’s been a long day and you need a simple but impressive dinner. This is it. Spaghetti and shrimp is a wonderful dinner for your family and an impressive, yet easy, feat for the cook.


1 pkg spaghetti
½ stick butter
½ cup parmesan cheese
1 ½ lb shrimp
3 cloves garlic
1 small onion
1 medium tomato
½ cup chopped parsley
1 cup white wine
2 tbs olive oil

Bring a pot of water to boil and add spaghetti. Cook or 8 minutes or until pasta is al dente. Drain and pour spaghetti into pasta bowl.

Chop garlic, onion, tomato and parsley. In a separate pan, heat butter and olive oil. Add vegetables and herbs to oil. Mix. Add shelled shrimp and white wine to pan and mix. When shrimp are cooked, remove from heat and pour over spaghetti in pasta bowl. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over spaghetti and shrimp.

Served alone or with garlic and salad, this is a satisfying and special weeknight dinner.
