At their Saturday Anime Boston industry panel, FUNImation Entertainment announced that "Space Dandy" will be getting a second season starting July 2014.

The show tells the story of a space traveler and his crazy crew who go throughout the galaxy looking for new species to identify. But his real goal is to visit every single branch of a Hooters-like restaurant chain in the galaxy.

The show, which is made by the same team that produced anime classic "Cowboy Bebop," gained a lot of attention due to the fact that it is the first anime to be broadcast in the United States before it reaches Japan.

"It's a big deal," said Justin Rojas, Senior manager of social strategy and development for FUNImation.

The show currently airs on Adult Swim int he Toonami lineup at 11:30pm on Saturdays.
