Spa for the Earth at Hiatus

See also

Hiatus Spa + Retreat is celebrating Earth Month this April with special treatments at the spa, an exclusive print by Austin-based artist Jan Heaton, and a fundraising raffle featuring over $5,000 in spa product and treatment giveaways. Each of these specials supports the Hiatus Earth Month Fund and their $10,000 fundraising goal benefitting clean water initiatives regionally and around the globe.

Spa for the Earth all month at Hiatus, as guests of the spa (excluding H-Circle members) will be able to receive any essential spa service at Gold Member pricing (priced at $69) when mentioning Earth Month. Hiatus will also donate 10-percent of the discounted spa service price, and any retail purchases, to the Earth Month Fund.

Hiatus is also offering their April monthly retreat, Stone Unturned. The luscious retreat pays homage to Earth Month by conserving water and at the same time delivering a truly skin-quenching experience. After dry brush exfoliation, your skin is drenched in nourishing shea and cocoa butter, infused with a blend of Madagascar vanilla, cinnamon, and ylang ylang while hot stones glide from head to toe. As the warmth of the stones fades, they are strategically placed to continue melting away tension while you are enveloped in endless layers of a body wrap. Fall into deeper relaxation with a reflexology session, and awaken with a refreshing cool stone face massage. You'll depart with a rhum agricocle ti punch, radiant skin, and a clean conscience, knowing you just contributed to clean water initiatives.

Hiatus is offering a limited edition signed and numbered print by Austin-based artist Jan Heaton that will be available the entire month of April in spa. All net proceeds from the 2014 Earth Month Print will go to the Earth Month Fund for clean water initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to own a print from Heaton, whose nature-inspired abstract watercolors adorn the walls of Hiatus. The print is available in a 12” x 12” unframed image for $85; or the print is available framed, in your choice of espresso or white wood, at 19” x 19” for $195. This year’s print is available exclusively by order at Hiatus Spa + Retreat locations in Austin and Dallas, TX or online at www.HiatusSpa.com/2014Print.

Additionally, Hiatus is hosting an Earth Month raffle all month featuring over $5,000 in spa products and service giveaways. Purchase tickets in the spa for $5 each, three for $10 or 10 for $25, and winners will be announced on May 1. Raffle prizes include the following spa treatments: The Best Facial Ever (80 min.); Stress Fix Massage (80 min.); April Monthly Retreat – Stone Unturned (80 min.); Hiatus Mani-Pedi Retreat (80 min.); and Glow Massage (70 min.).

In conjunction with Aveda Earth Month, fundraising efforts by Hiatus Spa + Retreat will benefit Gulf Restoration Network (healthygulf.org) and Lower Mississippi River Keeper (lmrk.org). Hiatus strives to be earth-friendly throughout the year and has made the environment a cornerstone of its business philosophy - from initial build-out to ongoing initiatives such as bottle cap recycling, 100% wind-powered energy, VOC-free paint finishes, post-consumer recycled paper printed with soy ink, and no bottled water policy.

Hiatus Spa + Retreat Dallas is located at 5560 W. Lovers Lane, Suite 250. For more information on Hiatus Spa + Retreat visit www.hiatusspa.com or follow Hiatus on Facebook @HiatusSpa.
