The November 2011 race planner finishes out the month with three races on Thanksgiving Day.

November 24: Cape Coral Turkey Trot- This is the 32nd year for this event and this year it features a new, certified course. The race, which starts behind the Cape Coral Hospital Wellness Center, located at 609 SE 13th Court Cape Coral, FL. (Click here for a map) The event, which is scheduled for a 7:30 am start, is a fund-raiser for the Cape Coral Hospital's Pediatric Emergency Room. The Ft. Myers Track Club has committed to raising $100,000 for the treatment rooms. Click here to register online.

November 24: Turkey Trot- Charlotte County- This benefit for the Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity is scheduled for a 7:30 am start. The race is held at Edison State College, located at 26300 Airport Rd. in Punta Gorda. (Click here for a map) If you’d like to register online for the event, click here.

November 24: Gobble Gobble 4 miler- The race, which starts at 7:30 am, benefits St. Matthew’s House, an organization that provides housing to the homeless and food for the needy of Collier County. This is a large race and race organizers caution runners that the 2,300 slots may fill before race day. The event takes place at Venetian Village in Naples. (Click here for a map) A unique part of this race is that it is a “cup free” race. The video on the left explains the Hydropour system works. Click here to register online.
