Discount carrier Southwest Airlines has announced another great sale opportunity available for travel now through December 14, 2010. Fares start as low as $59 each-way, and as always with Southwest there is no round-trip travel requirement. Additionally, when comparing fares be sure to factor in the savings you’ll reap by not paying to check luggage with the carrier.
The latest sale requires a 14-day advance purchase that must be made no later than 2 a.m. Central time this Friday, September 10. Blackout dates apply from November 23-30. Sale airfares are offered Mondays through Thursdays, as well as on Saturdays. Federal excise tax of $3.70 per takeoff and landing, airport security and passenger facility charges are additional.
Southwest serves the Twin Cities from Terminal 2/Humphrey, with daily non-stops to Chicago Midway, St. Louis, Denver and Phoenix. Connections are quick and easy at each of its hubs to the rest of its nearly 70 destinations nationwide.
One-way sample airfares include: Chicago Midway, $59; Denver, $89; Cleveland, Columbus, Louisville and Nashville, $137; Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Houston, $159. Southwest flies a fleet of more than 500, Boeing 737 aircraft, all with leather seats and large overhead compartments to store your carryon bags.
Southwest sale pricing is only available on-line. Discounted seats are limited and may not be offered on every flight. Fares may vary by time of day and day of week.
