In celebration of 32 years of flying from Lindbergh Field, Southwest Airlines is adding four nonstop routes from San Diego next year.
Southwest offers the most flights from San Diego Airport.
Daily nonstop flights to New Orleans will start on April 8, 2014. Flights will begin at an introductory rate of $149 one-way.
Southwest will begin daily nonstop flights to Orlando, Portland, and Seattle on June 8, 2014. Fares will start at introductory rates of $89 one-way to Portland and Seattle. Flights to Orlando will begin at an introductory rate of $149 one-way.
“We are pleased to offer these new service options for our San Diego customers,” said Andrew Watterson, vice president of network planning and performance for the airline.
“San Diego is an extremely important market to Southwest Airlines, and we believe the addition of these new nonstop destinations demonstrates our commitment to the San Diego community.”
Customers can purchase introductory airfare on the Southwest website now through 11:59 p.m. Friday.
Introductory fares are valid for travel to New Orleans from April 8 to May 31; and June 8-30 for Orlando, Portland, and Seattle.
