Southern Writers magazine announces a short story contest for fiction writers

Southern Writers magazine has announced its Fiction Short Story Contest, open for entries through March 1st. Published and non-published authors are eligible. All winning entries will be published in a bonus edition of Southern Writers magazine, filled with stories from its readers.

What they're looking for: family friendly stories of 1,500 words or less. Must be unpublished, original works of fiction.

Prizes: Grand Prize winner receives $250, publication, and more; Second Place receives $100 cash, publication, and more; Third Place receives $50, publication, and more; 10 runners up receive publication and more. For full list of prizes, visit the Southern Writers website.
