The Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte from November 11 - 22, 2009 is a festive tradition. The show features beautiful sights, joyful sounds, and scrumptious tastes. Enjoy a charming olde towne, extraordinary crafts, decorating ideas, and more than 600 festive merchants! This is a can't-miss holiday event for the entire family!

Visit the show's web site for ticket prices, hours, directions, a list of entertainment schedules and vendors. Before you jump in the car to head to The Park, make a plan! Get there early and be prepared to spend a few hours. Have your Christmas list in hand and a list of vendors that may have what you want or need. Also, wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Discount tickets for the show are available online or at Harris Teeter stores.

Make sure to bring a reusable shopping bag(s) that is comfortable to carry so you can load up on goodies without slowing down. Bags are available for purchase at the show too. The show is a great time with great displays and merchants but you must be patient. The booths that give out free samples tend to bottleneck walking traffic. Don't let it get you down and discouraged, it's part of the fun of it all!

Bring some cash. Most vendors will take credit cards but you may need cash for parking ($6) and snacks. Remember that weekdays can be just as busy as weekends so plan accordingly with your schedule.

Of course, bring your sense of humor and have fun!
