For those looking for a unique Valentine's Day experience, a few Southern California museums have got some suggestions for Thursday's festivities.
Reagan Library and Museum: Valentine's Day Sweetheart's Dinner and Dance

Reservations must be made by February 11. Tickets cost $160 per couple. It is the sixth annual event, which takes place under Air Force One's wings. Dinner includes champagne, a three-course meal, and live music. Guests can also tour the Museum and the Pavilion during the evening.
Santa Barbara Museum of Art: Valentine's Day Treats

The Museum Cafe's treat of the day is Lavender Vanilla Bean Shortbread Cookies dipped in white chocolate. Assorted cookies will also be available that day, as well as the rest of the month.
J. Paul Getty Museum: "Fountain of Love" Special Lunch Prix-Fixe

The event is inspired by Francois Boucher's "Fountain of Love" (1748) that will take place at The Restaurant at the Getty. It is a three-course meal that costs $38 per person or $55 with wine pairings. Guests are also allowed to stroll around the museum.

A free event that focuses on the exhibit, Intersections: World Arts, Local Lives and the objects that relate to love and courtship. Treats will be offered after the tour, which will be lead by Fowler Director Marla Berns and curators Patrick Polk and Gemma Rodrigues.
Fowler Out Loud: Valentine's Day with Andy Martinez

Another free event featuring jazz singer Andy Martinez. He will be playing songs from the American songbook and a selection from Bossa Nova, with some refreshments for the guests.
LACMA: Two separate events

"Lonely Hearts" (or guests who want to have some fun) is a tour that will feature works themed with jealousy, affairs, heartbreak, and more. Appropriately titled Love Hurts, the tour also includes a RED pop-up dinner prepared by chef Jason Fullilove.
"Lovers" is a dinner for two at Ray's. Guests can walk through Urban Light as well as the other collections within the museum. They are also encouraged to check out C+M for special Valentine's Day treats.
Aquarium of the Pacific: Valentine's Day Late Night and Dinner
February 14, 2013, Late night is at 5:00pm, Dinner is at 7:30pm
The aquarium will be open until 9:00pm and guests are given the opportunity to observe the animals during the nighttime. Admission into the museum is $14.95 after 5:00pm, whereas dinner and admission costs $64 per adult and $54 per child, or $54 per adult and $44 per child just for members. Guests are invited to attend a wedding of two penguins.
Laguna Art Museum: Live! at the Museum: Christina Linhardt and Joshua Chandra

A romantic evening has been set up by the museum for its guests. Christina Linhardt is a concert singer, artist, actress and dancer who will be lending her voice for the event. Accompanying her is Joshua Chandra, a CSU Fullerton graduate who has been a finalist of multiple distinguished piano competitions. Admission to the concert is free.
