A Southern Baptis leader, Albert Mohler, is telling his followers that the practice of yoga is un-Christian, and should be avoided. Claiming that yoga practioners are by the very practice opening themselves to a non-Christian lifestyle.
KTIV Blog writes, A Southern Baptist leader who is calling for Christians to avoid yoga and its spiritual attachments is getting plenty of pushback from enthusiasts who defend the ancient practice. Southern Baptist Seminary President Albert Mohler says the stretching and meditative discipline derived from Eastern religions is not a Christian pathway to God.

Liberaland says, Albert Mohler, President of the Southern Baptist Seminary, is calling on Christians to avoid yoga, saying it is not a pathway to God. Mohler said he objects to "the idea that the body is a vehicle for reaching consciousness with the divine. That’s just not Christianity," Mohler told The Associated Press.

We cannot help but wonder if Mohler believes that there is something about the exercises themselves that causes a breach of faith, as many Yoga instructors, including the Wii game console, teach only the physical forms, staying completely away from any spiritual components.

Rev. Albert Mohler has made a fool of himself by condemning yoga. Mohler should have banned his followers from eating at McDonald's instead since Big-Macs are bad for you.
