While the youth ice hockey season is over for most teams, selected players have the pleasure to still playing in the spring USHL tournament in Voorhees, New Jersey.
Teams from a good part of the North and Southeast will compete against each other on youth teams assembled with players from all over the country.
The Southeast Nationals team made up of U16 players will face The DHI Octane, the LA Jr. King’s, the Hockey Essentials, Valley Forge Minutemen, and the Prospects. It is unclear how the roster was finalized.
Noticeably missing on the National’s team were players from AAA Thunder made up of players from Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Players from Florida Alliance and Tampa Bay were included on the final roster.
DHI Octane
DHI’s roster will consists of 13 players from the Team Comcast organization, Marcus Dickerson, Cameron Dineen, AJ Drobot, Max Gravenstine, Connor Mastinger, Dave Melaragni, Joe Fiorino, Kyle Weller, Connor Fletcher, Aaron Maguyon, Mergim Berisha, Greg Hendrickson and Cayden Primeau. Also on the roster is Patrick Harper of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Jr. Knights, New Jersey Rockets’ Colin Burgress, Simon Butala of the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers and Colin Slyne of the Mid Fairfield Blues.
Southeast Nationals
The Southeast Nationals roster is made up of 16 skaters and two goalies from seven different teams, including the Washington Little Caps, Charlotte Jr. Checkers, Florida Alliance, Tampa Bay Jr. Lightning, Ashburn Xtreme, Buffalo Regals and Team Maryland. Representing the Washington Little Caps is Carter Long, while representing the Charlotte Jr. Checkers will be teammates, Noah Brandon, Griffin Clark and Max Mulhall. Representing the Regals are Alex Randaccio, Matt Novo, Mitchell Hale, Matthew Barnaby Jr., Mike Militello, Tyler Sayger and Tyler Johnson. Three members of the Ashburn Xtreme are on the team, including AJ Agena, Cade Groton and Alec Cordova. Team Maryland teammates Sage Bittinger-Esser and Graham McPhee will also be heading to New Jersey, along with Andrew Peeke of the Florida Alliance and Paul Raby of the Tampa Bay Jr. Lightning.
Hockey Essentials
Nine members of the New Jersey Devils, including goalies Logan Kramsky and Peter Negron, defensemen Andrew Petrillo, Zach Berzolla, Chris Helmlinger and Ryan Bogan and forwards Daniel Farr, Timmy Clifton and Augie Burkhardt, will lead Hockey Essentials. New Jersey Rockets teammates Jack Zimmer and Brendan Ban are also on the roster. Making up the rest of the roster are Long Island Gulls teammates Adam Fox, Christopher Grando and John Scala, along with Jack Badini of the Westchester Express ’97 and Derek Contessa.
LA Jr. Kings
The Jr. Kings roster is made up of three members of the California Waves, including Jacob Aho, Sam Anzai and Garrett Nieto, five players from the California Heat, including Dylan Denton, Justin Driffill, Garrett Foster, Johnny Schacher and Geno Norraik. They will also be represented by LA Jr. Kings teammates Evan Bohan, Wyatt Light, Peter Shin and Richard VanDuzer. The other four players on their team are Nate Clurman of the Rocky Mountain Rough Riders, Jack Gates of the San Diego Gulls, Logan McColgan of the LA Kings and Joshua Morrison.
Valley Forge Minutemen
The Valley Forge Minutemen’s roster consist of 14 players from the Minutemen, including Harrison Feeney, Ben Geremski, Casey Sottanella, Thomas Liberta, Evan Devericks, Nick Tripodi, Alex Pelletier, Kevin Schaeffer, Edward Burkart, Gannon Stuart, Ed Russell, Joey Mancuso, Brandon Kopen and Hunter Canestra. Also on the roster are Jr. Flyers’ goalie John Roberts, Little Flyers’ defensemen Connor Palush, Mercer Chiefs’ forward Ryne Moore, along with Colin Ward, Zackary Mullen and Brandon Rosoff.
Prospects Hockey
The Prospects Hockey team’s roster in made up of 16 Philadelphia Little Flyers - defensemen Bryan McIntosh, Andy Iehle, Branson King, Ryan Lauk and Alex Wilkins, forwards Derek Golembrosky, Steven Bray, Eric Lauk, Joey Kubachka, Bryce Witman, Cody Liguori, Tyler Riddle, Jack McDonough and Alex Peterson and goaltenders Joe Giacobbo and Jake Snyder. Rounding out the roster is defenseman Zach Vendetti of the Mercer Chiefs, along with Evan Carroll, Noah Bradley and Demitrios Stefanou.
