Daryl Gregory, 33, of Brooklyn, was arraigned Sept. 18 after being arrested on Flanders Road in Riverside.
Police said Gregory was stopped for a traffic infraction before officers discovered that his license was suspended and that he was driving a car without an installed interlock device. The mechanism was required to be equipped in any car he was operating after a prior DWI conviction, cops said.
Police charged Gregory with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and circumventing an interlock device. Both are misdemeanor charges.
Gregory was arrested at the scene and then brought to Southampton Town Police headquarters in Hampton Bays for processing before his Wednesday court appearance.
Details from the arraignment proceeding were not immediately available.
