South Shore Conservatory presents special preview and 'Evenings Under the Stars'

There is nothing sweeter than sitting outside on a starry, moonlit night, basking in the captivating rhythms of live music as South Shore Conservatory proudly presents the 18th season of ‘Evenings Under the Stars’ summer series! Visit ssmusic.org for more information!

First, South Shore Conservatory will extend summer nights a little longer with Cedar Hill Jazz/Rock/Pop Festival, which will take place on Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21.

Get a sneak peek of this premiere event as Berklee Stars presents ‘A Taste of the Festival’ on Friday, July 11 in the Jane Carr Amphitheater, One Conservatory Drive in Hingham, Massachusetts at 8 p.m. Take in jazz, rock, and pop as South Shore musicians perform popular songs from Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Chicago, and The Tower of Power.

Sponsored by William Gallagher and Associates, ‘A Taste of the Festival’ is the first of three Berklee Stars at South Shore Conservatory Summer Spotlight series featured on Friday nights! On Saturday, July 12, The South Shore Conservatory kicks off its 18th season as conductor Nicholas Palmer leads the Evening Under the Stars Festival Orchestra in ‘String Serenade.’

Sponsored by the Hingham Institute for Savings, ‘String Serenade’ will be the first of four Evening Under the Stars Orchestra concerts in the series. They will be performing renowned classics such as Mozart’s Eine Kleine nachtmusik, Bach’s Brandenberg concerto Number 3, ‘With ‘Malice Towards None’ from ‘Lincoln,’ and closing the show with the electrifying ‘Irish Legend.’

Soloists during ‘String Serenade’ include South Shore Faculty members Amanda Smith Roberts on violin and Mark Goodman on harpsichord.

Bring the family and grab a seat at the Jane Carr Amphitheatre in Hingham, Massachusetts for unforgettable summer nights! For weekday entertainment, South Shore Conservatory presents ‘Wacky Wednesdays’ featuring a variety of family shows.
