The South Shore Conservatory with the Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre Young Dancers organization is kicking off the New Year with a full week of free ballet classes for children! The South Shore Conservatory is offering many distinctive programs and will also hold an Open House on Sunday, January 12 at 11:30 a.m. Before the Open House, Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre Young Dancers company member Angie DeWolf will offer a masters dance class for dancers ages 11 and up. From Saturday, January 11 through Thursday, January 16, the South Shore Conservatory is offering a free week of trial ballet classes for dancers ages 3 to 9 which includes studio classes in Creative Dance and Pre-ballet.

Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre Young Dancers Program is a non-profit organization committed to training young dancers ages 3-18 and adults the expressive grace and elegance of classical ballet. Through their specialized programs, students are personally mentored and some develop ballet careers beyond the classroom. The Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre Young Dancers program at South Shore Conservatory was awarded the “Best of Boston 2011” by Boston Magazine.

Preregistration is required to participate in this free week of ballet. The South Shore Conservatory is located at The Ellison Center for the Arts, 64 Saint George Street in Duxbury, Massachusetts.
