South Philly home where ‘Rocky Balboa’ lived is up for sale

Looking for real estate in the South Philadelphia section? If so, home where the 1979 movie, “Rocky II” was filmed is up for sale.

The home where “Rocky Balboa” lived and had his first bout with character boxer “Apollo Creed” is on the market because original owner of home passed away.

The not-so-luxurious home in the South Philly section, near Girard Park has three bedrooms and one-and-a-half bathrooms, and is only 1,036 square feet. The asking price is $139,000 according to the real estate agent.

Real Estate agent, Joe Bianco said that the Rocky II filmmakers chose this particular home for Rocky Balboa’s character because producers just “happened to like the front of the home and knocked on the door.”

Sylvester Stallone, who is from New York, portrayed up-and-coming, struggling prize-fighter Rocky Balboa in the sequel to the Oscar-winning original, "Rocky."

In the movie, the Italian Stallion, Rocky Balboa purchased the home after losing the fight to Apollo Creed in part one, but upgraded his finances after the fight.

So if you want to live like Rocky Balboa, and wake up in the morning to have a gang of young kids jog with you in the morning and feel like a champ, this would be your home.
