Serial killer press conference

It seems that South Louisiana has yet another serial killer in its midst. Until recently when a push was made by victims’ friends and family, there did not appear to be much attention focused by authorities on getting information out to the public with respect to the Southwest Louisiana serial killings. The killer – or killers – is focusing on women who reportedly lead “high risk” lifestyles. Could this be the reason that law enforcement has not made a push to find the offender before anyone else is killed? Very likely so. At any rate, these victims and their families deserve justice, just as any other victim would receive. In the next few days, I will focus on the victims themselves in hopes that someone with information on these killings will come forward. To date, there have been eight confirmed female victims. My column will feature each one of the victims, in the hope that someone will have some information helpful to the investigation.

Though no official profile has been developed, the offender is very likely from the area around where the bodies have been found. In addition, the victims lived near each other and whoever committed these crimes would have to have some familiarity with the areas where the bodies were dumped.

If you have any information whatsoever on these killings or the victims’ final hours, please contact the Task Force at 337.824.6662. The information you have may be just what leads law enforcement to a capture, before anyone else is killed.  There is up to an $85,000.00 reward leading to arrest and acceptance of charges.

Can ou tell me when the last woman was found? Have their been anymore found in or around Herbert Ln. in Jefferson Davis Parish? My Husband and I witnessed two men approx. between New Years Eve and the week following of 2010 trying to dump a large rug which had somthing inside of it into or by a canal that ran into that road. We reside in Texas but went for a drive after visiting casino in Lake Charles. Missed a turn and ended up out in on Herbert Ln. Went back recently to take a look at the canal but it was dry now no water in it. There was a rolled up rug lying in it, but I am almost positive it is not the same one we saw them trying to dispose of. I am just wandering if police have found any other woman this year? Apporx. two months later I was approached by a man who I thought was one of the men that we saw that day. He seemed to know my name and where my husband worked. This took place at a different casino we were visiting in April? He e seemed very sure of himself and kinda

and it kinda took me by surprise? It almost seemed as though he was kinda taunting me? He seem to know way to much about me and my husbands work information and I know that we eid not know him from anywhere else! The only thing is he looked a little older than what I thought the particular man I witnessed seem to be at the time? But we were a little ways off, but up close he seemed about 50-60ish . By the time I realized who he was I just tryed to pertend that i didn't realize who he was and made my way off!

This all happened very fast and he aproached me sitting right beside me? He was a very strange man that seemed to have muliple persanilty's, and extremly cunning? My husband saw him also but didn't make the connection until later that evening when I told him about what had happened after he had walked off. I guess approx. maybe 5-10 minutes into the weird conversation we exchanged I looked up from my machine directly into his face and that is when i made the conection.

Now I am in complete confusion as to if this was one of the men we witnessed that day how did he get my husbands and my information? I have to be honest, I really have been so bothered by this and I wasn't sure if I was just a little nuts about the whole thing! But I didn't imagine it and my husband witnessed most of it but not the conversation that took place?

I am not sure if I should contact the detective we spoke with about this or not. He was with the State Police, I think? And if i am wrong then I will really appear as a complete paraniod freak? But if I'm right then, I actually could have gotten this man on video tape at the casino? I know no other way for that man to know as much information about me and my husband as he knew and I have to admit I am concerned for our safty if it is him!

But, now after reading the article I may be more right than I ever thought possible? Now I just have to decide as to trust the police and tell them about this or just keep it to myself and you of course? So ny thoughts on the matter?
    Sincerely,
    Penny

I guess my greatest concern is that My husband and I only spoke to one Officer. I don't know who else all saw our information. By Phone interview? It took us about a month to report it because we didn't even realize that murders were happening around there? As soon as we found out we reported it!

  • Penny 2 years ago

The particular officer We spoke with, I still have his name and number, seemed very intrested in what we were saying. I believe he is a honest man and my only concern is who else has our information? In other words, what channels does this information channel down through in which it is finally investigated and by whom? My husband wanted to call him right after the event took place, but If I am right, Then what happens after this time? I feel a though I have ben warned by this man? Any advice?

And if I'm wrong then I have waisted the police's time, entergy and money, when they could have been using it to track this guy down? I have tried to take a step back and look at this very stong and rationally but we really think that this could have been one of the men we saw! I would know him very well If I were to see this man again! You seem to know more about whats going on there than me! Does this fit anything that has been going on or do you think I am totally off base?
