Each year, many people explore the Internet for their dream home or perfect apartment rental. Realtor.com® compiled their data, and put together a list of the top five searched zip codes in 2013 from their website. Excitedly, South Florida made two out of the five most searched locations. The South Florida areas included Pembroke Pines (Broward County) and Wellington (Palm Beach County).

Landing in fourth place for most searched zip codes was Pembroke Pines – Hollywood, Fla. Pembroke Pines is nestled in between Miramar and Weston. This thriving community has seen a dramatic upswing after 1992 when Hurricane Andrew hit.

“While the strong rental rates and property values are attractive to investors, the good schools, beautifully landscaped parks, and diverse shopping and dining destinations combine with the year-round tropical climate and sunny days to entice residents from all over the world,”

said Nathaniel Crawford of Limited Edition Living.

In third place, our very own Wellington – West Palm Beach, Fla. made the cut. Wellington is a slice of Palm Beach suburbia that attracts snowbirds and many famous faces. Here is a list of notable people who are permanent or seasonal residences:
