South Florida gains more jobs

If you want a job, move to South Florida. More jobs are opening up and the unemployment rate in the region is lower than in much of the nation.

The Broward County unemployment rate is now 5.4 percent and the Miami Dade unemployment rate is 6.7 percent, according to a State of Florida report contained in an article by Marcia Heroux Pounds in the March 29 Sun-Sentinel.

"This is fantastic news. I moved to South Florida in hopes of finding a better job. I have already received two offers and I am hoping for even more," said Bryan Huff, a construction worker.

"Finally things are starting to get better for working people. I hope to get a better job," said Marcia Newland, an office manager.

"Maybe I will finally get a promotion or a better job," said Hector Gonzalez, who works in the restaurant industry.
