Beginning Monday, March 1, 2010, South Dakota residents can purchase eligible ENERGY STAR® rated appliances for replacing existing units and apply for a rebate.
– $75 for dishwashers
– $100 for washing machines
– $125 for water heaters
– $150 for refrigerators
– $150 for freezers
NOTE: The South Dakota Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program requires the recycling and disposal of refrigerators and freezers.
To receive rebates under South Dakota's Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program, residents must mail a application form and a copy of the sales receipt within 30 days of purchasing an appliance to the SD Appliance Rebate Program. Consumers purchasing refrigerators and freezers must also include proof of recycling and disposal.
The South Dakota Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program expires in September 2012 or when the $738,391 in rebate dollars are gone.
