Brandon Robinson a 20-year-old, S.C. State University student was shot to death by a gunman near campus dorms after an argument occurred, according to SLED.

According to authorities Robinson was having an argument with Justin Bernard Singleton, a 19-year-old from the same area.

Singleton "pulled out a gun and fired at Robinson, hitting him in the neck area," according to an arrest warrant filed by a SLED investigator.

SLED reported early Saturday, Singleton was charged with murder and arrested by authorities.

"Our hearts are heavy with grief and sorrow by the senseless act of violence," said Thomas Elzey, the universities president.
