The South Carolina State Museum will host another edition of its ever-popular Museum Roadshow this Saturday, January 12.This is an excellent opportunity for people who want to know more about grandmother’s silver or the chair you bought at an antique store or the Kewpie Doll you found in the attic.Appraisals will be given from 9:30 AM-4:30 PM
Inspired by PBS’s “Antiques Roadshow,”the program will offer informal (verbal) appraisals on a variety of objects. Museum curators and local experts will be on hand not only to discuss items but also to provide tips on caring for the objects.
Participants are responsible for moving objects from their vehicles to the Museum’s atrium. The Museum assumes no liability for loss or damage to any object.
Tickets are available and are based on the number of items evaluated with a maximum of 4. One ticket (1 item) is $20 ($15 for museum members), 2 tickets (2 items) $30 ($25 members), 3 tickets (3 items) $35 ($30 members), 4 tickets (4 items) $40 ($35 members).
