Police received a call from a male saying he was going to kill himself and then the call disconnected. Before police reached the home a neighbor of the man called and said they heard gunshots next door and children were running away from the house.
When police arrived they found four children dead and two adults dead, one of whom was the shooter. The neighbors had four other children from that house at their home, they were unharmed.
The ages of the dead ranged from 9-years-old to early 50s in the Callison, S.C. home, which is just south of Greenwood. The gunman was identified as 27-year-old Bryan Sweatt. Authorities report that Sweatt was dating one of the people in the home.
Police are calling this Tuesday night murder-suicide a “domestic-related incident."
