The annual South Bend Zombie Walk took place Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 6pm. Thousands of the walking dead gathered at South Bend's Howard Park to benefit the Food Bank of Northern Indiana and generally act foolish. Details according to Southbendzombiewalk.com:

Local makeup artists Wicked Jester were on hand to zombify paying patrons. Native artists and food trucks were also in residence to provide for the needs of the hungry zombie horde, it's unknown if brains were on the menu.
The much beloved Reverend 'Ryno' a local DJ for WRBR Radio was a topic of conversation and much missed by the attendees. The Rev (Ryan Haukaas) died in 2012 a month after last year’s Zombie Walk. The familiar bearded DJ was always a regular at the annual Zombie Walk and his absence was noticed by all.
