The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach is once again Ground Zero for one of the Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival’s more popular events. The 13th annual festival, Feb. 20-23, is expected to attract 65,000 people to see celebrity chefs and attend demonstrations, dinners, seminars and tastings.
As usual, Rachael Ray’s Burger Bash (my favorite event) is sold out, but The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach is offering a “Burgers and Binoculars’’ whereby guests can eat beachhside burgers created by The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach culinary team as they use complimentary binoculars to view the A-list attendees. Burgers and Binoculars takes place Feb. 21 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Feb. 22, “Fettuccine & Fioretina,’’ part of The New York Times Dinner Series hosted byChef Michael White and Executive Chef Amol Agarwal will take place at The Ritz-Carlton Beach’s Bistro One LR.
White, a seven Michelin star-rated, three time New York Times three-star reviewed, James Beard Award-winning chef, will show off such favorites as rustic pastas, char-grilled steaks and grilled bread with cured meats. Wines from the Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida portfolio will complement the courses.
If you love Italian cuisine, it’s an event that’s not to be missed. It’s 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with ticket prices at $250 each.
