Miami Beach - As the half-marathon ends on Ocean Drive here is a look at the rest of your weekend. It’s beginning to look a lot like another beautiful weekend for Miami beach-goers! If you’re planning to visit South Beach this evening, pack an umbrella, as we may see some showers in the area. However, high temperatures will be hovering around 80 and lows will be around 70 all weekend long!
The weathermen are calling for mainly sunny skies on Saturday with a very small chance of rain. In other words, it will probably be perfect weather all day. On Sunday, however, the chance of a few brief storms jumps up to around 30%. If any storms do arrive, they should be short-lived and skies will likely clear up afterwards.
In terms of wind, we’ll see nothing out of the ordinary this weekend. Winds around 10-15 miles per hour coming mainly from the east (meteorologists call this a “sea breeze”). Be careful where you fling the sand off of your towel, but winds should not be a problem for those looking to enjoy the beach this weekend. Expect water temperatures in the low- to mid-70s.
Have fun, be safe, and enjoy South Beach, everyone!
