Sources familiar with the situation have reported that Microsoft will announce the official Xbox One media remote as early as tomorrow with a release date scheduled for March 4, according to a report today from GameSpot.
Talking with The Verge, the Microsoft insiders said the company will make the Xbox One media remote announcement Thursday, a week after the an image of the product was spotted on Amazon, according to a previous GameStop report.
The Amazon listing has since been removed, but the post did reveal somewhat of a price range for the device with Amazon UK asking for 19.99 pounds and Amazon Canada at $24.99 CAD –– roughly $33 and $22.50 respectively.
No price had been suggested by the Microsoft sources, however.
The Xbox One media remote would allow for users of the next-gen console to navigate the platform while launching and controlling apps. The product will also be able to control the TV and audio receivers to control volume.
