Sources: Lady Gaga to perform at Barack Obama's inaugural ball

The official Inauguration Day is set for Jan. 20, 2013, but since that date falls on a Sunday this year, the public swearing-in ceremony will be held on Monday. The Inaugural Ball will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, and as of Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, sources have revealed that the popular, and sometimes controversial, Lady Gaga will be performing.

A person that is said to be very familiar with the inauguration told The Associated Press that Lady Gaga will indeed perform at Tuesday's ball for White House staffers.

This source wanted to speak under the condition of anonymity, of course, because that person was not authorized to publicly reveal the information about Lady Gaga. This news has not been confirmed by the White House or anyone directly affiliated with President Barack Obama at this time.

Usually a private affair, the staff ball was reportedly entertained by Jay-Z, the last time it was held back in 2008.

One attendee back in 2008 for President Obama's first term inauguration ball said that Jay-Z rapped a riff from one of his hit songs, but added his own twist to it. According to that attendee, the rapper actually changed things up and said, "99 Problems but George Bush Ain't One."
