Source provides details regarding night Baby Lisa Irwin vanished

Kansas City, Mo. - A source close to the family of missing 11-month-old Lisa Irwin provided details Tuesday regarding the night the infant mysteriously disappeared from her Kansas City home.

The source told The Kansas City Star that Baby Lisa's father, Jeremy Irwin, arrived home from his job as an electrician on Oct. 3 at around 2:30 p.m., later eating dinner and playing with the infant and her two brothers – ages 5 and 8.

At about 4:30 p.m., Baby Lisa's mother, Deborah Bradley, and her brother, Philip Netz, headed out to a local store to buy a box of wine and baby goods. Their presence at the store was confirmed by surveillance footage from the location. Irwin remained with the children during this time.

Bradley and her brother returned home around 5:00 p.m. and about 30 minutes later, Irwin headed out to do electrical work at a local Starbucks -- his first time working at night, according to some reports.

The source continued, saying not long after, neighbor Samantha Brando arrived at the home with her 4-year-old daughter, who played with Baby Lisa and her siblings.

Bradley then placed the baby in her crib at about 6:40 p.m. as Brando ran to the store to buy liquor for herself. She returned to Baby Lisa's home at around 7:00 p.m. and she and Bradley sat on the front porch smoking, drinking and talking.

The source also told the Star that Bradley had ingested from five to 10 glasses of wine by 10:30 p.m., thus she was drunk by this time. Brando left when Bradley told her she was going to bed. Bradley then fell asleep with the two male children in her bed. Baby Lisa's door was closed, the source notes.

Irwin completed his work at Starbucks and arrived home near 4:00 a.m., noticing lights were on in the home and the front door was unlocked, which he found strange. After entering the house, he found a window open in the computer room and although he tried to shut it, he couldn't because it was malfunctioning.

According to the source, Irwin walked into the boys' bedroom and noticed the older child was in his bed, however, the younger boy remained in bed with Bradley. He walked past the bedroom of Baby Lisa – whose door was open – and entered the bedroom he shared with Bradley finding a stray cat she was caring for at the foot of the bed. She woke up and Irwin questioned her about why the lights were on and the front door was unlocked. Bradley claimed she didn't know what had occurred.

The source told the Star Irwin then ran to Baby Lisa's room and found her gone. He questioned Bradley about the infant's whereabouts and she again said she didn't know what had happened.

In a panic, Irwin ran to Brando's home, banging on her front door to find out if the Baby was with her, however, she was not. Alarmed, he telephoned 911 on his work cell phone, as, according to the family, their home cell phones were suddenly missing.

Shortly thereafter, police arrived at the home and the exhaustive investigation into Baby Lisa's disappearance began.
