UPDATE: Starks has re-signed with the Packers, CBS Sports Jason La Canfora is reporting.

Even though Green Bay Packers free agent running back is supposed to head to Pittsburgh tomorrow, he's expected to resign with the Packers soon.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter was told by a source that a two-year deal is "imminent" with the team and the 28-year-old RB.

Starks, a sixth round draft pick in 2010, has had an injury plagued start to his career, playing in only 22 regular season games. But, this past season he only missed three games.

2013 was also Starks' best year rushing, averaging 5.5 yards per carry and scoring three touchdowns.

Activated late in the 2010 season, Starks helped the Packers make a remarkable late season push and make the playoffs, ultimately winning the Super Bowl.

If Starks signs, the Packers running back corps would consist of 2013 Rookie of the Year Eddie Lacy, Jonathan Franklin, DeJuan Harris and Michael Hill.
