Soundstill performing at the Hull Avenue Tavern

The band Soundstill will be performing again after their 2011 EP release “American Disease” Friday, February 2nd at the Hull Avenue Tavern in downtown Des Moines. Soundstill consists of Chris “Krazy” Adams (Vocals), Josh Cother (Guitar/Bass), Terry Justice (Bass/Guitar), and Tyler Hoekstra (Drums). Natives of Spirit Lake, Iowa, these members formed the band in 2006. In April of 2008 they recorded their first 5 song EP entitled “Waiting Through” at Cathouse Studios in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The following January saw them back in the studio to record their first LP; a 13 track album they titled “Leading the Fallen”. Most recently they completed a 4 track EP called “American Disease” which will be promoted at their upcoming shows. Since forming in 2006, Soundstill approach to writing music is rooted in trying to be innovative in arrangements and staying on either side of the definable. Primarily influenced by the last 15 years of hard rock and metal such as the Deftones, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, and many others, you¹ll hear a hint of yesterday’s influence in the undertones of this metal based rock band. A real gem coming out of Western Iowa, Soundstill is sure to bring down the roof this Friday night.
