After 16 years of "being away for too long" Soundgarden strikes back; hard.
The guys of Soundgarden announced that their Record Store Day offering will be a special edition release of "King Animal." "King Animal", Soundgarden's first album in 16 years after a long break and many side projects, was released in November 2012.
The release will feature 6 tracks on a 10" pink vinyl of the demo and will also include a free digital download card.
Making no small splash of their re-arrival into the grunge/alternative pond, "King Animal" is a hard-hitting album which reminds us all that no matter how long he's away, Chris Cornell's stunning vocals have not diminished, nor has his lyrical genius. Though "King Animal" is a new approach and vibe for the band it's on par with some of their earlier albums, i.e. Bad Motor Finger and Loud Love, and will not disappoint.
The album will be available in independent record stores nationwide (and in some parts of Europe) on Record Store Day, April 20.
