One on Clint Dempsey’s right footed shot at the 24 minute mark from outside the box and Dempsey ‘s attempted through ball header to Martins running towards the FC Dallas net was kicked into the middle of the pitch by Fernandez.
Seattle Sounders FC began the second half with a strategy to play the ball wide and find pockets in which to make quick crosses against the congested FC Dallas defensive.
Clint Dempsey 57th minute, Marco Poppa 59th and 61 minute all had good looks at the FC Dallas net that were left wanting.
Obafemi Martins cross from the left side of the box found Birthday boy Lamar Neagle who promptly left footed the ball into the back of the Dallas FC net to put the teams back on level terms.
“ When you have guys like Oba and Clint you know that your runs will be rewarded,” Lamar Neagle said of the pass he received from Martins on his near post run.
Former FC Dallas player Kenny Cooper who was a late game sub found himself on the end of another exquisite Obefami Martins pass and wasted no time in finding the back of the FC Dallas net to give FC Sounders another dramatic come from behind victory.
