“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28, NKJV) This scripture has become a life verse for this writer. And now this writer knows that scripture to be true.
Another such scripture which follows not far behind is Romans 8:38-39; “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” To know something because someone has told it to you and to know something because you have been persuaded are two vastly different matters. To have actually faced death, angels, principalities, powers and live to tell the story all belongs to the power and love of an Almighty God.
The purpose of these writings was to find Truth. And since writing is an art form these articles have been a self-portrait of the writer. This has become vividly clear to the writer and probably to those who at some point have known the writer. Because of that fact she took great pains to limit identifying information in stories that may have been less than flattering to others. (Although flattery should be an offense to the Believer.)
Anyway, as this writer delved into the Word to find answers to questions she was forced to gaze upon the reflection that the Word revealed. She was not only able to retrieve Truth for circumstances without but also circumstances within. She realized Truth once found must be handled with the mind, eyes, and Spirit of Christ whom all Truth, blessings, and knowledge flow.
This allows true growth in Christ to occur. Which brings us back to I Corinthians 13 which was mentioned in the previous article. Specifically verses 8-10 that says, “Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.”
The writer would like to focus on the “in part” aspect of this scripture. The “part” that is given by and through the Spirit of God is perfect because it is from the Spirit of God who is perfect. It is the “part” that comes from the flesh which cannot be trusted. If the flesh is damaged, wounded, or traumatized the “part” that is affected by that is not perfect. However maturity helps remedy or limit the effects of that “part” of the gift. Usually.
But this is where it gets interesting. And of course I have to form the point as a question. What Believer can use their spiritual gift perfectly while we are visiting earth on a travel Visa from heaven? Yes, this is a rhetorical question.
If a trumpeter is told to sound the alarm to warn the warrior lions do you allow the sleeping lions to continue their slumber? Or do you perform your duty as assigned even if your rendition is not perfect? The answer is an easy one for this writer. But then again she knows Romans 8:39 to be true because of personal experience and not second-hand knowledge. She is happy to say that those lions that were already awake or in the throes of wakefulness were not startled. However it was those who were in the deepest sleep who roared when they were awakened.
So…is there an apology needed. Surely! She apologizes to anyone who was offended or received any undue harm because of ideas, opinions, or facts stated in this series of articles. May the Lord bless you and keep you and shine His countenance upon you. And to that one who was blessed by the thoughts, musings, and searching of this writer; may the rain of Heaven fill your storehouses with the abundance of God’s riches.
Finally, she gives a thank you to those who have exhorted this writer when she did not accurately express proper theological doctrine in the articles. She appreciates it and will carry it with her as she continues her walk. And to those who have provided this writer with sound doctrine and theology which is witnessed in the proper use of scripture references infinite blessings upon your head. Again specific names are not used to protect others from undue harm. However, God knows and the writer knows who deserves credit and their reward is in heaven. Apparently the knowledge of that reward is not always sufficient; therefore a public show of gratitude is needed. So here it is.
To all, rest assured that the lion will not be allowed to sleep this night. Because the hour is late and the time is at hand and as long as grace abounds she does not want to get caught not doing God’s will so as not to wake the slumbering lion. And unless the Lord wills…she will not be moved.
As a sign-off she will not say good-bye or any other trite farewell but a "see you in Homeroom when the roll is called". Why will I be on the roll? By the grace of God and the Blood of Jesus the Christ. The Christ: my Savior, my Deliverer, my Hope for tomorrow.
