VORHEES, NJ – The Philadelphia Soul announced new roster changes on Tuesday.
The Soul traded WR Larry Brackins to the Orlando Predators for future considerations.
This season, Brackins only has 73 yards off of 7 receptions and no touchdowns. Throughout his six seasons with the Soul, Brackins recorded 258 receptions, 3,155 yards and 90 touchdowns.
“It is always a difficult decision to move a player like Larry Brackins,” Clint Dolezel said in a press release. “Roster space and injuries dictated the need for us to make the moves. Larry did a lot of great things for the franchise and we are very grateful for his contributions to the team. We wish him luck in Orlando.”
As Dolezel mentioned, the Soul had no choice but to make the move since they had to put their best OL on Injured Reserve, Brennen Carvalho. Carvalho landed on his leg the wrong way against Jacksonville and he said that it’s unlikely that he’ll return as Arena Fan reported.
Those three moves gave approval from the League office to activate newly acquire DB Fred Shaw from refused to report as well as assign them DL Rudy Cerami.
