Sophia Grace and Rosie sang a Taylor Swift song on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Feb. 4, sending the Twitterverse into a tizzy. The fresh trending topic on the popular social media network is helping to turn these little girls from the United Kingdom into giant stars.
According to YouTube, the video of their Monday cover of the tune called "I Knew You Were Trouble" has already garnered more than 31,000 views even though the clip has only been online for a couple of hours.
By way of background, Ellen DeGeneres has been absorbed by this pair of cuties (formally known as Sophia Grace Browlee and Rosie Grace McClelland) for some time now after discovering them on YouTube performing a Nicki Minaj hit in 2011.
Since then, Ellen has been intermittently introducing Sophia Grace, age 8, and her younger cousin, Rosie, on her television program in a manner that seems as if these two are the celebrated comic's very special muses.
Indeed, Ellen is genuine when she delights in what Sophia Grace and Rosie can do, which is to sing like stars such as Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and other luminaries. Their antics, which also include taking in Disneyland as guest correspondents for DeGeneres' show and taking tea with Justin Bieber, are making them into household names in the United States and across the pond, too.
Monday's performance of the little kids called Sophia Grace and Rosie, both of whom were wearing a version of their trademark ballerina crinolines and sparkly princess crowns, will likely shoot these tots higher into the celebrity stratosphere. After all, these two cuties are, yet again, trending on Twitter.
